a Thanksgiving day walk

So I decided to take the black kids out for a Thanksgiving Day walk.  No iPod, no talking on the phone.  Just me, the dogs, and the chill in the air.
The kids trekked around the neighborhood with me like a trooper.  Kota pooped out about half way around the 3 mile loop.  :)  On our way back, I took them up the railroad tracks to snap a few shots...  I will bring them back and bring my Nikon :)

It was a lovely walk....  maybe after dinner we'll take another walk (shorter tho, for Kota's sake) :)

Hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving.  I have much to be thankful for - I hope everyone takes a moment to give thanks for all they have been blessed with.  :)

Pictures from Thanksgiving

This is my step-father, John, and his 86 year old mother, Betty.

John with his grandchildren, Eryka (11), and Joseph (12) (John's sons kids). My mom and John have had them and have been raising them since they were almost 3 and 4 years old (Eryka's birthday is in September, and Joseph's is in June).

Me, my mom, John's mom Betty, John's daughter, Patty, and the kids kneeling.

The best of the pictures taken of me and mom on Thanksgiving.

One of the "outtakes" - me being annoyed with my mom....

Mom being a brat...

Me and the kids :) I hadn't seen them in 3 years! They've grown up so much!!

We all went out to Buca de Beppo for Thanksgiving with John's family (his sister and brother-in-law, their daughter and two of their grandchildren.... another brother, his daughter, mother, me, mom and the two kids and John of course). It was a nice dinner overall.... I dont' see that side of the family often (for a reason) ;-) I'm glad I got pictures tho!

Mom came home with me Thanksgiving night and we went back for the kids on Friday. We spent all day Friday together before I had to take them back to the hotel so they could get ready to go back to Texas Saturday morning. I wish I could have had more time with my mom, but I'm thankful for the time I got! :)

Thanksgiving with the family

the HUMAN family....

My cousin Don's daughter, Tresha, and her hubby, Brandon.... are they not the most beautiful couple ever??

Mother and son working in the kitchen... Aunt Sheri (my dad's sister) and Don (Aunt Sheri and Uncle Don's son) slaving away on the wonderful dinner.

My cousin, Don, carving the turkey....

We had a great meal... great company... it was nice to be with the family again! I hadn't seen them since Brandon and Tresha got married in March!!! I'll see them all again in December, when my mom comes out to visit :)

I hope you all had as nice of a Thanksgiving as I had!

Happy Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving 2007

Myspace Graphics

I just wanted to wish my friends and family a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will be working tonight, but we are having a wonderful dinner... Turkey is being brought in by the company, and between my teammates (3 + me) we're having mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, stuffing, cranberry sauce, carrots and pumpkin pie :) I hope you all get to spend lots of time with your loved ones today :) I'll be thinking of all of you and am very thankful to have you all in my life :)

Happy Thanksgiving 2006

Happy Turkey day everyone.... :) Heading to Nicole's to spend it with Brad, Nicole, Spencer, Patric, Edye, Rich and Natalie... me and the kids get to go and fill our bellies and not have to clean the house afterwards! yay! :)
I made my yummy sweet potato dish that everyone loves so much, and despite the hour drive, it should be a good time :)
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!!
