I longed for a puppy from the Phoebe x Carbon litter of 04.... I drooled and drooled over the "Ernie" puppy, who we all know and love as our very own Golem :) After seeing those puppies, and not being in a position to get one, I put myself on the list for a Phoebe x Carbon puppy, when the breeding was repeated. I wanted bright orange ears and a bright orange face on my puppy... ideally, I wanted a pretty tan pointed tri, or a tan pointed blue.
When the litter was born, I was immediately drawn to "Lora" because of her interesting color. I hoped beyond hope that she'd have blue eyes. As luck would have it, she has 1 plus a little ;-) Lora is now our beloved Blue, and Kora came home with me. Kora was her mothers twin and just as cute as a button. I fell in love quickly with the puppy who would become my dearest Sedona.
Baledwr Desert Sunset graced my life in August of 06 and life hasn't been the same since. I've never had a girl dog of my own (my family dog was a female parti cocker spaniel) nor have I had the trials and tribulations I've had with her. Picky eater from the beginning, and the hardest dog in the world to house train, and a dog who comes into SEASON!!
While Sedona has not earned any points towards her championship, which has been quite discouraging, I know that she has many great qualities. When she comes back into coat, and when the shows start again (September), hopefully she'll go into the ring as a seasoned "pro" and wipe the floor with the other girls in the ring.
She's delightful, quirky, sweet, oh-so-feminine, my one and only girly girl and I adore her to peices. I'm so thankful that Mandy let Kim take Sedona as her "stud fee" puppy and that Kim let her come live with me. I'm so happy to come home and see her silly little orange face every day.
She's my "made-to-order" dog, and I couldn't be happier.
I love you more than words can say!!
