I updated the Litters page on Kim's site again today... LOTS of new pictures of the Crystal/Maya x Luther babies!!!

Go See!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

I am official for next year! I signed my contract this afternoon!!!!!!
It's limited because I don't have my Masters.... but once I get my Masters, they'll change the wording and salary on the contract :) Never thought I'd actually be getting to do what i set out to do all those years ago! :) STILL loving it, despite being tired tired tired working 3 jobs... Can't wait till July! :)

a new doggie door

Since working this shift for a year, I've wanted a doggie door... They're WAY too expensive tho... But I posted an ad on CraigsList and found someone willing to sell me their "almost new" doggie door for $25.00! I put it in place today and was teaching the dogs how to use it....

Ok, so maybe they weren't getting it at first, but it sure made for a cute picture!!!
They did figure it out, but they're still working on it... here's Kota using it to come out to me!
And Sis, following after Kota
Kota not understanding how to come back IN the door... but again, made for a cute picture!
And this one is my favorite, just because he's such a doof :)

a funeral...

My step fathers sister passed on 5/3 and we had her funeral on 5/8.... these photos were taken outside of the chapel at the cemetery.... it took me a few looks, but that really was a swan...
and it was a friendly swan...
rather a SHOW OFF ;-) What a beautiful bird...
And the group that was waiting to go into the chapel....
And this is my step dad (John) and his daughter (Patty)... (the two adults on the end, obviously) at the reception at John's older sister's house.
Rest in Peace Mary Louise Lachcik.... she left behind 3 children: ages 26, 20 and 16, and 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 1. Mary was 49... would have been 50 in November.

The sights on my way to work...

Corn fields growing.... with houses building up behind.... very common out here...
Palm trees, grass and flowers at the intersection near work... and entirely too many politicians with their CRAP up messing up my scenery....
A closer view of the flowers :)
The street I work on.... See, despite living in a desert, we DO have green trees and grass!

some scenery on my way around town

Tis the season for the cacti to bloom. I dont' remember seeing it when I was growing up... maybe it's just another appreciation I have now that I'm a little older...

This is of the land that they will be building a SuperTarget and a Home Depot among many other things on.... this is what a good part of the area I live in looks like right now... mid construction...

This is an intersection that I grew up going through every day! I turn at this intersection to go to the Elementary School that I"m working at, and it just so happened to have a bus waiting to turn as well... a piece of a history and a piece of my future...
This is also very common around here.... farm land with huge housing developments backing up to them... I think this is corn growing here...
Some desert sunflowers growing wild on the side of the road...
Another cactus blooming...

the worst headset luck in the world....

I swear by my Bluetooth headsets... I have had a Jabra that was alright, but I finally upgraded to a Motorola H700. After sending 3 others in, this one worked... then it didn't... then it did! Then it died a brutal and painful death after getting attached to my keys unknowingly and falling off and sliding under the big heavy door at work... RIP H700.... RIP.

head shots

Taken 5/4/08, I set Chance up to groom in the garage... got some great head shots of him :)
