the babies at 5 days!

Pictures were posted today, so I lifted them and posted them here to supply you all with a puppy fix ;-)

I present to you....

The Brindle Boys

The Black Boys

And The Girls

Sweet as sugar, huh? :) I can't wait to see them again!!!

New Babies..

Today Renay sent me an email telling me that Velvet was going to have babies... THIS AFTERNOON!
Velvet was bred to Mikey (who is in the running for Sedona also). I got there in time for baby #3... a little black boy I called PandaPuppy... looks like a little panda bear... :)
The first four... 2 brindle boys and 2 black boys. The puppy on the bottom of the pile is a brindle half mask... one half mask in each sex.
Another shot of the four boys :)
Shannon welcoming the first girl into the world! Half masked brindle girl.
Velvet and the babies (w/ 2-3 left to go)
Renay welcoming "Winnie" into the world... little brindle girl (5oz)
6 of the 7 babies.... I don't think #7 had come yet...
And the "golden child" - the red/sable girl who shocked us all with her golden color!

3 of the babies

Velvet and the crew
All the babies at the milk bar...
In the end, one black boy (puppy #8) was still born, and the little girl was some work for Renay, but they're all feeding and squeaking :)

I can't wait to watch them grow.... and to think that I saw Velvet for the first time when she was 2-3 days old... and now I was there to see her whelp her first litter (like a PRO none the less! 8 puppies in 5 hours).
