Considering I had the afternoon off, I decided to go and find something to explore... the folks at the front desk told me about Lory State Park... so off I went....
I found a little hiking trail, so off we went....
As per Piper's norm, she was hunting for something to eat....
Pretty purple flowers....
and once i decided there was not enough shade and that it was too warm for the kids and I to wander for long, we went back....
and then we drove around the Horseshoe Reservoir.... it was pretty....
Next up, Rocky Mountain National Park...
