unexpected monsoon storm

Out of nowhere came this INTENSE rain and whipping winds.... Kinda cool I thought.... I love the storms.

Cute dog picture of the day.... Chance is the clown of the house, without a doubt! He laid flopped out like that for quite a while!

so many things

I keep coming up with ideas of things I want to post on my blog, but then by the time I sit down to do it, I can't remember! LOL Old age setting in...
So since I posted last, I've had a few IEP meetings, and am getting the swing of how those flow... still struggling some with the paperwork end of things, but I'll get it in time!
Sedona has since come OUT of season (thank goodness), and life has resumed back to normal here.
This cloud was part of a picture I had taken... I love photographing the weather during this time of year.... so many great photo opportunities!

This was the sunrise the other day when I woke up... sometimes we get very pretty sunrises too! :)

Given that I'm a sunset freak, when I saw this, I just knew I had
to have a picture! These great pieces of artwork were done by one classroom of Preschoolers at my school....

And this was the artwork on their outside (hallway) wall... keeping with the desert theme!

And I snapped this picture of the boys this morning as I was drinking my AM coffee :) I love that the two boys snuggle and play and love each other... even through the nasty girldog times :) I'm so fortunate to have such great mild-mannered boy dogs (most of the time.... ahem, Kota).

3 day weekend, here I come! I don't have any specific plans really... I need to mow the lawn, and make sure the front yard is cleaned up...

i'm sure by now most of you have heard about the nasty storms we had here in the Phx metro area on Thursday... hurricane force winds blew through, along with heavy sheets of rain and tons of lightening and thunder... looking at some of the pictures from the news helicopters, it looks like a tornado or hurricane came through some neighborhoods... tearing off roofs, uprooting SEVERAL trees, snapping multiple power lines... shoot, there are STILL people without power! Can you imagine? Temperatures have been in the high nineties to the low 100's, humidity has been 45% or more every day, and dew points have been in the 60 degree range... it's uncomfortable - and people need their A/C! Thankfully we didn't get any of the wind here in the more rural areas (which is odd). We did get quite a bit of thunder and lightening and LOTS of rain. Luckily the kids don't mind the thunder and hardly flinched a bit the whole time! :) We had another storm last night, but all WE got here was a light show... I think the northwest valley got hit some by the storm that came through last night.

I might take the kids to PetSmart this weekend, for a "good-dog-outing" :) They don't get out much, so I try to take them out into public at least once a month or so...

Our next show is in Prescott on the 13th and 14th of September... counts are : 7-6-1-1. More dogs than I thought there would be, so it'll be interesting to see who shows up! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for the kids... Sedona MIGHT have some coat back by then, and Chance is looking nice these days... :) We'll see. Should be fun, regardless!

I will do better to post more often... it's not like I don't have the time! :) I hope you all have a great holiday weekend!!!

Sunsets

This was taken the other day

And this a few minutes later.... amazing, huh?

I took this this evening... I love the clouds :)

And while I was out, Sedona (my own personal 'sunset') came with me... Look! She's BROWN! LOL I gave her a bath this afternoon in hopes of getting this icky dead hair off and get the new stuff coming in :)

What can I say? I love the sunsets.... :)

some photos and updates

Loving sunsets as I do, I take as many pictures of them as a I can... This was on the 31st of July with a storm coming in from the other direction.

I took this on my way to work one morning last week...

Again with the sunsets.... (gotta love monsoon season!)

They're building this equestrian center in Queen Creek... I smell a dog show venue!

Chance outside this afternoon...

Sedona rolling in the grass like a goon

She is always the dog who is outside with me... no matter the temperature. Kota will MAYBE pop his head out, Chance will visit for a few, but Sedona will stay outside with me :)

Lookit her coat.... :( I'm combing her in hopes that I can get this to come out and her new coat coming in before her show in September... A girl can dream ;-)

And I just thought this was a pretty shot of the clouds this afternoon... :)

I just finished week 3 of my new job, and I still absolutely LOVE it. The paperwork side of it is a bit intimidating, but I'll get it. My schedule is still goofed up, but we're working on that too :) I love the hours... I love getting home by 3:45pm! I'm officially "adjusted"... I'm waking up at 5am on weekends! LOL I "slept in" until 6:35am today! LOL

I think the dogs are happier, even!

Am I happy? Yes, I am! :)

finally... a show in sight....

Our next show:

Prescott Arizona Kennel Club
Chino Valley AZ

Saturday - September 13, 2008

J A Doniere R J Shreve

I want to say I've shown to these two, but it must have been with Kota....

Sedona will be hairless by then (great... thanks) and Chance... well.... he never carries a ton of coat anyway.... LOL Entries were pretty low last year (1-3-1-1). Let's cross our fingers for another point! :)

I suppose it's ok to brag now...

<---------LOOK!!!!!!

Chris Armstrong sent me the Irish CWC club appointment calendar for 2008 last Christmas, and I loved it....
When I saw that picture of Kota that I took in Flagstaff with the flowers, I just knew I had to submit it! :) I was tickled to find out they were going to use it.... and to see him proudly adorning the back cover of the wall calendar.... *swoon* :) My baby's famous! :) LOL
Grandma's are getting wall calendars for Christmas this year! :) Yahoo!!
