i've been fighting with my prior property management company about my security deposit.... they said the house was left filthy, I disagreed. They said they'd need to have it cleaned etc, so i was prepared for that.... According to Arizona state law, they had 14 business days to return my deposit from the time the lease ended. The property mgmt folks said it was 14 business days from the beginning of the month. I called today and was told the check had been put in the mail yesterday and to my surprise it was in my mailbox today! I opened it and they refunded me THE ENTIRE THING! EVERY PENNY!! I was beyond shocked and ran immediately to the bank to deposit it before the property management folks realized they made a mistake (I've been told they can't take it back now, but still!!) I think that since they couldn't reach the owner of the home, they had no other option but to refund my entire deposit :) Hey, whatever works, right?
I am just beside myself with glee....! Especially after fighting with them to let me out of the house early.... and then to wait for FOREVER to get my deposit back and to be told the house was "filthy" (whatever!!).... YAY! If Chance hadn't drank my wine last night, I'd have a celebratory glass tonight ;-) LOL

never drink alone....
And here I thought I was drinking alone.... me and my glass of wine (ok, two or three... but who's counting) when in the other room i hear "lap lap lap".....
Background story... Kim and I had a few beers out back tonight while watching the Cardigans be ... well.. Cardigans... and Chance was begging for beer all night long... so of course we obliged ;-) Seems the boy likes beer (and I had learned he liked wine previously... ).
So I'm in the office IM'ing a friend when I hear this suspicious "lap lap lap" out in the living room. Kota and Sedona were here with me and Chance was the missing link.... so I called. He came. I went out to investigate and I was missing a QUARTER GLASS OF WINE!!!! Little alcoholic puppy!! Grammy Chris attests to the fact that he liked beer and wine.... ;-) I will watch for signs of stumbling and will ask him to walk a straight line later ;-)
Too funny not to post.... damned dog! Off to enjoy what is LEFT of my wine ;-)
