The Chronicles of Adam 5/30/11 - 7 week photos

Adam is 7 weeks old now...  seems impossible that the time has flown by so quickly.  seems like just yesterday I was taking poor Sedona's temperature 3 times a day in preparation for "the big drop".  :)  Now we are actively working on potty training!  Crazy!

Without further adieu...  the little big man at 7 weeks old....

Every day I see different things I like and don't like...  he's LOVING having the freedom to be with the big dogs all of the time now, and managed well in the crate to the vets office yesterday.  When I left for the store today, I left him in the big wire crate in the living room and he did great.  :)  I really am quite lucky - aside from the whole c-section, pneumonia thing, he's been quite easy :)

The Chronicles of Adam 5/29/11

Trotting around the yard

Comin' to get me again...

Uh-Door-Uh-bull...

7 weeks of cuteness

"yea - I'm cute.. whatcha gonna do about it??"
I plan on getting some stacked shots of the kid tomorrow in honor of turning 7 weeks old today.  He got his first shot today and was adored by his many fans at the vets office...  :)

He's officially being potty trained - going outside as frequently as I remember to take him...  ;-)  I have many funny videos of him being taught that he's not top dog...  he's a persistent little guy...  ;-)  Many thanks to the pack for teaching him kindly, that he is not ALL that...  ;-)

Onward towards week 8...  let's see what fun THIS week brings :)

The Chronicles of Adam 5/23/11 - 6 week photos

I didn't get to these yesterday, but I figured today was just as good :)

No kidding when I say that I looked at these and said "whose puppy is THAT?"   :)  Next time when I'm feeling even more ambitious (and maybe when the feeling has returned to my fingers), I will get front shots too...  :)
He weighed (unofficially) 7 pounds yesterday, for those curious...  :)  He's remained a solid week ahead of himself in size, but unfortunately, I think that size put him back a week or two in development.  We'll see how he continues to grow up :)

The Chronicles of Adam 5/21/11

Sometimes he kicks after going potty...  I caught him humping a toy (really?)... he's peed and pood outside for the first time now (lucky me!) and he got to explore the back porch tonight...  :)  Enjoy!!

"where AM I, mom?"

The Chronicles of Adam 5/20-21/11

YES!  THAT is what we needed to do!!!!

Sedona wanted to sleep with the dogs and I in the bedroom, but if we did that, Adam would be downstairs screaming his fool head off...  I decided to rig something up so Adam could come upstairs and sleep with us... I laid a plastic lined blanket (Fleece on one side, plastic on the other) down, brought a potty pad and towel up to lay down and brought some stuffies and his little dog bed up for comfort.  His water bowl came too, in case he needed it over night.  It was wonderful - only hearing a few peeps from the kid over night, and he was never alone, so he was happy (and so was I).

He'll still spend my work days in the expanded whelping/play box under the web cam so I can continue to spy on him, but at night he's graduated to big boy status and is sleeping with the rest of us :)

On a side note: Sedona deserves Mother of the Year awards...  she's STILL nursing the kid on occasion - and I know first hand just how pointy and nasty those little teeth are right now...  Bless you, Sedona!! :)  She still looks great - has an amazing coat still...  and she's realized the kid can be played with too!  What great fun! :)  She's eating her normal amount of food again, and she's eating with the boys like she did pre-Adam.  Life is getting back to normal - plus an extra kid, that is.  :)

The Chronicles of Adam 5/19/11

Just like his momma used to do...  (in fact, she left her mark, as you can see... ;-)  )

Recent firsts include:
Rain
Play with Chance

He's still sneaking in some nursing, but I'm telling him "big boys eat from bowls" :)

He's trying to escape from the box recently.  I am thinking the x-pen will have to go up this weekend.

He's also going to move upstairs this weekend for over nights...  :)  We all want to sleep together, so it's time Adam join us upstairs.

He runs and pounces on his toys and uncles - it's adorable.  It's not as adorable when it bites my toes (and fingers and legs) ;-)

The Chronicles of Adam 5/18/11

First, I will include the pictures that photographer Amy took of Adam yesterday..  They're amazing.  Please visit her blog at : www.cactuscanine.com!  Adam is on the blog right now too! :)

Cute, huh?  :)  She does a great job...  She's the one who has photographed all of my dogs.  :)

And pictures from today... The dogs (specifically Adam) met one of my students (and her mother and brother too).  And then Mister Adam found the baby sized tennis ball and acted as tho he had met his new best friend (just after the Kong he discovered the day before yesterday).

my student and Adam :)

"ooh, this is a FUN toy!!!"

"RAWR!"

(a side note : Look at those fat little legs!!)

He's a laugh a minute (except when I'm cleaning up his pee or poo... LOL)  5 weeks have flown by!!

After a long day of play...

My friend Erin came over yesterday and entertained my puppy kid... :)  It was fun.  He changes every single day...  it's amazing...  Below are pictures from today.... I woke up and his ear was up.  It has stayed up all day so far!!
