Pictures of the kids

Yesterday I got an email from Penni with a WONDERFUL attachment.....
This picture was taken on the Monday of the ABQ shows. I am so pleased with how Curtiss presents her. Just one last major and she'll finally be that CH that I've been working so hard to get on her! She is 1 month shy of being 4 years old in the above picture.

And back in March, I asked my friend, Amy, to take pictures of Chance in motion for me. Below are the results of the photo shoot.

(Chance is 3 years 3 months in the photos taken here).

And since I had the others with me, Amy shot a few of them too. Unfortunately nothing that I loved came out of Kota, but a cute one of Piper was there....

And this last one, I am also having printed out larger so I can frame it... I can't wait to see it when it gets here.

girl.... you'll be a woman.... soon.....

The little girl has blossomed into a little woman... *sigh* Would it be greedy of me to wish her to have 16 day cycles too? ;-)

the trip from Albuquerque

Last year I tried to get pictures but my camera was in a bad mood. I think it was after ABQ last year that I bought this camera, in fact! :)

Lots of pretty things roadside to photograph.....

a little town along the way - I liked the old water tower....
there was a pull off for a "scenic point". It was for the mission on the hill, I believe....
more pretty road side rock formations.....
and I think this was lava rock.... it looked like it anyway. It was hard to photograph!!!
I love the sky....

I turned around and saw THIS goofy face.....
back to the pretty mountains....

I caught the train coming at me....
Not to worry! Camera is ALWAYS at the ready! :)

Welcome home, kids!!

This turned out almost like I was stopped!!!
if you look at the lumps on the dirt to the right of the sign, that is petrified wood.
You can see a body of water in the distance....
ahhhh the trees again :) I heart the trees.... :)
they must be clearing after a fire or something.... lots of trees down in this area....

big glorious tree....
Piper sniffing her first pine tree during a pit stop we made... they LOVED the stop!
not a great shot of the 3-some, but it's cute enough. I found a big flat rock and told them to stay... we spent time sniffing the sniffs in the forest... myself included. I couldn't help but take in several deep breaths of yummy foresty air....
all the trees in the distance....

there's the goon looking at me again...
back to the scenery....
i loved this green area....
and then we entered cactus country...

nearing the Salt River.....

coming into Mesa....

awesome scenery. I'm SO glad I took the route I did, and I'm SO glad I got so many pictures!!!

Dakota ended up getting his 2nd leg of his RE title in ABQ, so I was pleased... we didn't score HIGH by any stretch of the imagination, but a qualifying score was a qualifying score to me! :)

Still no love for Sedona in ABQ... maybe tomorrow...
