We'll leave tomorrow evening for Cottonwood, which is an hour from the show site in Chino Valley. It'll take me approximately 2.5 hours to get to Cottonwood... and then just a smidge over an hour to get to Chino Valley Saturday morning. The stuff is ready to be put in the car.... the dogs are washed.... here we come dog show!

And while yes, I know there are funny spots on this picture, it was the best I could get of him tonight.... a storm came rolling in out of nowhere, so I tried to take a quick one....

then I tried taking him inside, but that just didn't work.... but I did get this one, and thought it was funny....

"but you told me to STAY, mom!"

where were you?

It's a common question to ask folks today, on the 7th anniversary of 9/11/01....

I was getting ready for my first day at a new "contract job" in Foster City, CA... Daniel and I were getting ready for work when we both saw the TV.... all we could do was sit and stare.... I was terrified to cross the San Mateo bridge, as it was right in the flight path of SFO. Later in the day we could see the airlines being escorted in by fighter jets.... It was a sad, scary day.... but I'll never forget that feeling of panic and horror...
A day that will forever live in American history.... :( A day that changed our lives forever.....

I wanted to wish Carolyn a very happy birthday on this 11th day of September.

Carolyn... my friend, my "puppy-pusher", my mentor.... I hope you have the very best of birthdays!!! Know that your grandpuppies and I here in Arizona are thinking of you and hoping you have a FABULOUS day! :)
