Fun at work....

This week was the Book Fair, Parent Teacher Conferences, and the last few days before Spring Break. On Tuesday the 1st grade teacher next door to me and I decided to have our picture taken... this was set up just down the hall from us. Cute, huh? :) We DO have fun at work! :)

the post where we cover multiple subjects

I've been horribly remiss about updating my blog, so I have a gazillion photos to share from the last little while... bear with me! ;-)

**DOGS**
The brindle pointed munchkins relaxing outside
Look closely at the right side of Kota's face... when I got back home from San Bernardino, this is what I found... the vet thought it was an abscess initially, and then decided that it was a scorpion or bee sting. It was an oozing wound on his upper lip near his gum. As things would turn out, I believe it was a dog bite that Kota sustained - not a sting or a bite from a scorpion... 10 days worth of antibiotics later and he's as good as new (again). :)
I finally recieved Chance's Championship certificate... it made me well up with pride all over again. I think every time I look at it, I will smile and feel proud :) I STILL do with Dakota's... over 5 years later!! :)
Here is a picture of "feeding time" at home... Carolyn and Tom say that I'm pretty lucky to be able to feed like this... I guess I've just taken it for granted :)
The hoodlums... :) All full of smiles :)
**MISC**
When I decided that I would leave my Christmas tree up this year, a co-worker suggested that I make it a "holiday tree" and decorate it for all of the holidays. I LOVE the soft glow of the lights, so I didn't wnt to take it down. I used the die cuts at work and had already cut out a gazillion hearts for the kids to decorate for my classroom, so I brought some of the extras home and strung them on some yard and WHA-LA :) A Valentine's Tree :)

**DOGS**
Lookit how CUTE little Kotie pie looks :) awwww... don't be fooled - he's not quite so innocent!
He's such a happy, sweet boy... even at nearing 7. He LOVES to play and gets very sad when no one will play with him! :)
Piper from the back - as she was looking at Tom walking away... Kind of a pretty picture and angle of the pretty kid..
Grandma Alice was guarding the fridge... no one can get in and out without her knowledge! :)
**PLACES**
I took Tom and Carolyn to one of the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dive's places... Joe's Farm Grill is in Gilbert and is ALWAYS busy. It was a PERFECT day for it... sitting outside in the fabulous Arizona winter weather. This was a picture of one of the HUGE trees on the property. We sat just to the right of this tree...
And here we were checking out the garden that was just on the other side of the road...

This would be SO pretty once the grapevines were in full bloom... I'll have to come back when they are to take a picture... :)
And the sign that stands off of Ray Road... Pretty darned popular place!
After the YUMMY lunch, we went to go and walk some of it off at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum just west of Superior. We found ourselves in the Butterfly and Hummingbird area first, so I caught some of the pretty hummingbirds.

Some of the cacti were cool too - This one made me giggle :)
The day was beautiful!!!

I liked this cool, wavy cactus...
And here is Carolyn taking a picture of the same cactus
All of these beautiful strong Saguaros...

The cactus carcass...
I Loved these little cacti...

(sorry about the duplicate)
a lone duck on Ayer Lake at the Arboretum
This turned out to be a really cool picture - the bush was BEAUTIFUL and smelled wonderful... it was COVERED in bees...
I thought this was interesting tree - it was in the Legume area...
another pretty flowering plant....
a picture that turned out QUITE well of some super pretty little daisies...
**SCORES**
When Kate talked about the place she was getting a jacket for Ella, I decided I needed to start looking into getting more "girl pants" in preparation for the onslaught of girls being in season. I found a website called Designer Doggie who had GREAT prices and good selections of fabric options. She advertised a special of "buy 3 get one free". The price was right so I went to town!
I received the products yesterday and I was SO impressed! The lady makes them all herself, and the quality was FAR better than I had imagined they would be! :) They are custom made for your dog based on measurements you send and weight... I am VERY happy and will be a return customer at some point!
The "pink camo" for the girl with 'tude... can anyone guess?? ;-)

a day of friends and puppies

Karen & Shannon Wilson, and Renay Crooker have a litter of puppies by Preston (CH Shadowalk Pushin' the Limit) out of Velvet (Coedwig's Kantasia Black Velvet - littermate to Casper the WhiteDog). They are 8 weeks old (they were born on the 40th anniversary of Woodstock) and CUTE. A friend of mine is getting a puppy from the litter, so I've been up to see the puppies a few times... Here is enough doses of cute to get us by for a while....

"Flower" being cute
"Flower" again

2 of the kids (whose names I never did get straight)

nothing cuter than a puppy chewing a shoe ;-)

I believe this is miss "Love" (the puppy my friend has fallen for...)

Someone went inside - and "we wanna go too!"

I think this is "Tommy" - who Renay is keeping

I think this is "Love" again.... with Arlo in the background laying down

a nice little front shot of "Love"

Not sure who this puppy was walking away....

Joanie holding "Love" - finding her tickle spot...

"Love" again?

Sleeping boy... so sweet....

"Love" with her tail in the water dish...

"Sly" layin' around....

I think this is "Arlo"....

I think this is "Nash" with "Flower" behind him

"Arlo" the blue eyed boy... isn't he pretty??!!

"Love" and "Flower" into trouble together...

I think this is the back of "Love"'s head

Renay holding her naughty boy, "Tommy". She kept calling him "Tom-Tom" and I kept thinking she was calling him "dumb-dumb"... poor kid! ;-)

I brought Piper out to meet the babies.... She was mauled by the swarm of 7 puppies initially, but once they all fell asleep I let her back down with the 1 or 2 that remained standing.... ;-)

Piper with "Music" and "Tommy"

Piper with every hackle raised barking at the Siberians in the runs....

The remaining crew, minus "Arlo" who was sleeping...

On the way home, Piper had her nose in the vent for what felt like minutes... when she looked away, this is how she looked... "mmmmm, that was goooood stuff".
It was a good day filled with friends and cute baby puppies :) Thanks to Karen and Shannon who let us come over and invade their home! :)
