As I was feeding the dogs tonight, I saw this eerie orange glow coming in the windows... unusal, even with our most spectacular colorful sunsets here in the desert. This is what I saw when I went outside. There must have been a fire somewhere nearby (couldn't find the source and the odor wasn't particularly strong) and it changed the sky JUST enough... interesting.

As the weekend comes to an end, I am doing laundry in preparation of my first week as an intern.
I hope it goes smoothly.
I wish I could be home with the kids this summer, but it will be worth it in the end - and I'll have ALL breaks from here on out to spend with the kids. They've been so patient....
