updates

It's been pointed out to me (grin) that I've been remiss in posting how things are going at my new job...
Well this week, the kids came back, but I didn't have kids to work with.... I had a lot of organizing to do and things to figure out and schedules to make... I'm starting to see kids on Monday. I think I'm ready.... not sure if I'm ready for the paperwork part of it tho ;-) That part is scary! LOL
The dogs are happy that I'm home more hours every day....

It's not quite done (as evidenced by things scattered around ;-) ) But here it is....



Sedona and Dakota make an appearance in the classroom as photographed here... Sedona and Dakota are in the small magnetic picture frame that is on the side of the tall file cabinet in the 3rd picture, and Sedona's two small photos are taped to the bottom of the smaller bulletin board :) I have others to put up still (Chance is feeling neglected ;-) ), and it's nice to see others have pictures of their puppies on their desks too :)

1st day for new teachers

So I pretty much had permagrin until lunch time.... when I was taken out by a carb coma courtesey of Chipotle (yum!) Benefits were discussed after lunch and we were not served caffeine! LOL We got a little restless during the last half of the session... Overall it was a lot of sitting and listening, then we got a couple of hours at the school. My work day will be from 7:30a-3:30p. Ah, even better than a normal (8-5) schedule!!! And the school year will allow for ROAD TRIPS :) Every 9 weeks we have 2 weeks off... :)
Can you SEE my permagrin??? :) ah yes, life is good! :)

My first day as an official "Speech Therapist" has finally come!!! I have to be at the Middle School (which is the school I graduated from 15 years ago) in a half hour to start my day :) I will post later.... but keep the well wishes coming :) I'm SO excited!!!

Last Day at Shared

the 16th was my last day at Shared Technologies :) I made sure to grab a few pictures of my dear co-workers.... I'll miss them dearly.... but WILL NOT miss that job! :)Tammy, Dennis, me and Ricky on my last night at work

My last day was Tammy's birthday... so another co-worker brought us in a cake... Tammy and I refuse to grow up and played with the noise makers :)

Glad that part of my life is behind me.... hated the "business" world.... SO not for me! But I'll miss the heck out of my 2nd shift buddies!!! Thank goodness for the internet! :)

Happy Birthday Orion!!

Orion turned 3 yesterday the 17th... seems like it's been forever since I've had him, yet it feels like just yesterday. I wrote his new family an email.... I hope to get a reply and maybe some pictures too :) Happy Birthday my ginormous blue buddy :)

back to the vet....

We have an appt for Monday at 1pm.... this time she will be sedated and will have shots done for OFA and Pennhip too....
Her original films had her tilted to one side unfortunately, and i didn't feel good about them to begin with.... hopefully this time around will be better... she was very cooperative for the vet on her back, but I want Pennhip done too (while I still have the money saved up for it!) to get a better reading of what her hips REALLY look like... instead of the subjective opinions we get from OFA.... that'll give me more idea of what my future for her really holds....

all i wanted to do was bake cookies.....

I wanted to bring Dennis (a gentleman from work) some cookies to thank him for helping me with the brakes on my car.... but the first ENTIRE batch of cookies was flat and icky.... so I went to the store... got MORE chips and started over.... this time they're solid little balls...
I've NEVER had problems making cookies before.... EVER!
WHAT IN THE WORLD is going on with my cookies!?!
I tried flattening them out for the 2nd try of the 2nd batch.... If those don’t' turn out, I'm going to open a bottle of wine, sit on the couch till it's gone and not go anywhere today... Amazing how baking cookies has totally screwed my entire day :(

I am going back and putting labels on all of my past posts... WHEW, that might just take me until...... FOREVER!

Nothing exciting happening.... wrapping up my last days at the evil night job... praying I passed my AEPA and that i can start at the school as planned....

Waiting for Sedona's OFA results to come back.... and that's killing me slowly too.....

Started doing the whole online dating thing again.... so far it's yielded a bunch of sex crazed fools who must think that "dating" means having sex.... *sigh* back to the drawing board yet again ...

The dogs are all well... thankfully :) Sedona is still holding her beautiful coat, and with no show in sight for at least another month, i begin to wonder how awful she may look then! LOL Dakota is blowing his coat like the wind.... I still need to get him trained up some more before taking him back in the Rally ring.... he might be appearing in a Calendar soon... I'll keep you all posted :) Chance is blowing his coat too (is it a boy thing? :-)) and is learning to sit, down, and stay finally. He's actually a smart dog, despite the doofy looks he gives ;-)

I will be updating more next week.... I"m off M-Th :) And the weekend too!! :)

OH, and I got a call from Paul today.... Savannah went WB for 2 points today in Bandon!!!! :) YAY!!!
