I had a bunch of things I wanted to put down in writing today, but when it came time, i plum forgot what i wanted to say... :(
The kid must be teething because she has little to no interest in her food, which she's normally pretty consistent about eating. Even soft, she wasn't real excited. We'll try it again tomorrow I suppose :)
Work was work... nothing exciting to report there...
When I was at a friends house, I was admiring his entertainment center... found out he's moving in with his folks until he either finds a job in England or moves to Virginia so he said i could have his entertainment center :) YAY! I guess I might owe him dinner ;-)
Gotta get Sedona in for her last round of shots this week... also want them to take a look at a weird lump she has on her left side behind her shoulder on her side... doesn't bother her, but it bothers me. it's about the size of a pencil eraser.
It's getting darker earlier and earlier... I got home a tad after 6 tonight and it was well on it's way to getting dark. I couldn't have taken a half hour walk with the kids and still been able to see well... When the time changes I won't have to be at work till 9, so maybe I can take them for walks in the morning instead of the evening. At least they'll get a walk up to the mailbox every night.
Got my money order back from the evil hands of the Property Management company... going to the bank tomorrow to see if I can just deposit it back into my account. Bastard Property Management company. I wish I could get out of my lease early... I hate them so.
Applying for jobs can be a tiring thing... I wish I could make it my full time job... likely would get more applications out there, but for now I'll deal with a little here and there.
Found out this afternoon that my dad asked to go to the doctor. Something he DOESN'T do. For those who don't know, my dad is terminally ill. He has COPD and severe emphysema. Doctors honestly can't figure out why my dad is still alive. At his last PFT (pulmonary function test) he had 7% of his lungs functioning, and that was well over a year ago. he's been on full time in home oxygen for 5 years. My dad is 68 years old and was a cross country truck driver who smoked 4+ packs of cigarettes a day. he still smokes, but only because the doctors said it would likely do him more harm than good to quit. Anyway, my step mom (Kim) called me this afternoon to tell me he had a chest x-ray which looked bad, and he's going in for an echo cardiogram tomorrow. She said when they have the results, they'll let me know... but for now they know his lungs are filling with fluid and his heart is being surrounded by fluid as well. I guess it's common with COPD patients. :( I don't' have a great relationship with my dad, but I'm still not ready to lose him, tho I have had lots of time to prepare... We haven't expected him to survive... we thought for sure we'd lose him within a year after my sister died, and that was in 98. He's still going... not strong, but stubborn.
Keep my dad in your thoughts... i may not have a great relationship with him, but it doesn't' change the fact that he's my dad.
