mindless ramblings

This weekend are the Flagstaff shows... my favorite area, and I didn't enter. It's a supported entry even, where there are 12 bitches showing up... and THAT is why I didn't enter. Sedona is still SO incredibly naked it's almost embarassing. I AM going, however... there's a pot luck on saturday after BIS :) Jane, Patrick and Autumn will be there, so we'll have that element involved, but it'll be fun, no questions.

I'm looking for campgrounds so if I don't feel like driving home and want to do some hiking or something on Sunday, I can... in doing so, I found a link to Black Barts Steakhouse where I worked for 2 years in College. You have to audition to be on the wait staff here, so it's usually the place where the music majors work. It's out along I-40... huge thoroughfare through Northern Arizona... so they always are busy. Summers are insane. Anyway... I loved working there, and I found this picture... Yep. I sang on that thar stage! :)

Those were the days :) And I thought life was complicated THEN!?!? Ha. If only I knew ;-)

I bought a pool this week... not what you may think.All I really want is a place to cool off... to relax and enjoy the water. I hear the neighbors in their pools... I hear about my co-workers in THEIR pools... and I'm, quite honestly, jealous. So I bought this little blow up pool for $30 at Wallyworld.. it's 10 FEET in length! 2 feet deep... I'm plenty ok with this for $30 :) You'll see pictures soon... but this is even the color I got :) Gotta love purple.

considering taking a night shift job... I hate being micromanaged and I hate being treated like an idiot. The night shift job treats their employees like ADULTS and they don't give two shits what you do, so long as your work gets done. Applied for a job in Forest Grove yesterday... probably won't hear anything about it, as most jobs I apply for don't even reply saying they got the resume. *sigh* darned distance.

Chunky is growing right before my eyes.... trotting like a hero. I'm going to experiment with my camera soon, on taking a series of shots... see if I can't get some movement shots of him. his drive makes me DROOL! Chance thinks he should be an outside dog, but he doesn't like it when it's hot.. When I come home from work, he'd just as soon sit outside and chew on sticks.. he loves it. He likes to drink out of the puppy pool and chew on his sister. He's such a mellow, laid back guy... and doing REALLY well with the whole housetraining thing. He's super smart too, which makes it all that much easier! :)

Guess I should go find dinner... dog pictures tomorrow, to add to the "aww" factor ;-)
