Happy 6th Birthday, Sedona!!!

It's no secret how I feel about this special orange eared dog....
She's more than 'just a dog'...  She's special, with a capital S.

 And she knows it! :)
Mason hanging out in the pool in the back yard.  It's empty.  Goofy kid
Glory hanging out in the over grown grass chewing a stick in honor of Sedona's birthday ;-)
 My pretty pretty princess....
 Love my pretty little girl!!!
Every day we go out to the front yard to water the tomato plants.  This is our ritual.  When I have the hose out the dogs look forward to the water play.  When we're done playing, I turn the water off and let the hose run out...  the girls always swarm in and get drinks.

They enjoy their hose time.  :)

Sedona is the dog I wanted for 2 years....  and the one who was 'made to order'.  She's definitely more than just a dog - she's a dear friend and a beloved member of my family.  I cannot imagine life without my orange eared beauty.
Thank you to her breeders for trusting me with her....
And thanks to my friend and Sedona's handler, Curtiss Smith and his assistant, (the late) Deronda Sharp, for seeing her to her Championship.  We couldn't have done it without them.
She's a special, special soul - one who has touched the lives of many and who has made many fall in love with her.  I look forward to many more years of her antics and adoration.  :)
<3 you, my orange eared beauty.... my foo.... my Sissy.... Sedona.

Happy 1st Birthday Mia Poe Pia!!!!!

As I waited patiently for a puppy from the Rocky x Kitty litter (which hadn't been conceived yet), Kim said to me "You know... there's a really pretty girl in this litter - would you be interested if she turns out?".  Keep in mind that I already had not-quite-1-month-old Mason at the time.

As time wore on, and the more pictures I saw, the more I fell for this perfectly marked, sweet faced little doll puppy.
(Mia *was Ivory* at 5 weeks)

 9 weeks

She has always been a super cute little puppy

My beautiful, beautiful 1 year old girl.
I fell so head over heels in love with this sweet doll faced little dog.  She loves me more than any other dog has.  She has the biggest heart (and ears).  :)

Happy 1st Birthday, Mason!!!!!!

From the very first time I held you.....

to seeing you snuggle with your mom......

I was smitten and couldn't avoid falling head over heels for you, Mason.

And now a year later

You're a handsome young dog who has grown up so quickly.

I remember staring at you in your whelping box, wondering what you'd look like as an adult....

Staring in wonder as your eyes opened,

as you ate your food gruel meal....

as you FINALLY started to walk and then run....

your ears came up and suddenly you were a little Cardigan with big tree trunk legs.

A year later you continue to amaze me.  Your spunk, your persistence, your loving sweet nature....

As a puppy I didn't think you even liked me....  now I have no doubt that you adore me :)

you are handsome and wonderful in so many ways

And such a huge goof ball in so many other ways.... ;-)

I'm fortunate to share my couch spot with you, MayMay....

Happy first birthday to my very first baby puppy ever.... it's been a ride I will never forget.... I look forward to many more years to come....

all my love and more....
Your human Mom
(oh, and your natural mother agrees ;-) most of the time...except when you scream at her to give you her bone. ;-) ).
