I took a route I've never taken before and am SO glad I did! It was beautiful!!!! I've always wanted to get this picture (don't ask - I have no good reason why)... this is in north north Mesa as you're going into nowhere....

Out along the Bush Highway where many go to float the Salt River....

Saguaro Lake in the distance.....

I think this was along the Beeline Highway....

I loved all of the cacti you could see in this picture....

Starting the rise in elevation (hooray!)

a nice flag/sky shot (if I edited out the lines) from Payson...

Oooooh! Pine trees!!!!!

EEEEK! More trees! I love the trees! This pretty meadow was private property, which lead to ...

This place. I was amazed I was able to get such a good picture of the event going on there....

*sigh* Heaven.

Heading up the rim...

A little lake like body of water... wasn't a lake, but maybe a pond? Seems too big for a pond, but it was pretty all the same...

Seeing all of the trees down made me sad... :(

And then ontop of the rim....

WINDMILLS! :)

the road to nowhere....

a random little corral....

starting to come into civilization again (if you call Holbrook, AZ civilization)....

an abandoned hotel in Holbrook...

The view on I-40

The closest Chance and Piper have ever been to sheep :)

a pretty mountain range on the Navajo reservation

biggify this picture and look at the figures on the lowest large rock....

This says it all... :)

pretty mountains in NM....

This one is a favorite of mine... I love that dramatic color change....

another road to nowhere.... Just over the 'nowhere' line is Albuquerque....

and the kids on the bed at our Motel 6.... ready for the dog show weekend!

Today was a bust for both dogs....
Kota was entered in Rally Excellent A. He NQ'd because he stood during his honor exercise (the twit). He would have qualified otherwise (I reviewed the score sheet before leaving). D'oh!!
Sedona was 3rd in a large Open class, but alas... she was 3rd. No points for 3rd in your class... :P
Had dinner at
Sadie's tonight with Karen and Renay... it was good.... :)
I hope tomorrow is a better dog show day :) Cross your fingers! :)
