I don't think I'm too far out there when I say that she sure is something pretty to look at! 15 months, and our soonest "for sure" show is in October... she's in beautiful coat (how, I'm not sure, when it's still well over 100 degrees out regularly!) . Let's hope she holds onto this coat for a while so I can get her in the ring and WIN!!!!! Body is a good thing! :)

my how she's grown!
I know Sedona has grown up.... a lot in recent months... She seems to get dirtier than the boys (what with Chance chewing on her all the time!) (might be the texture of her coat is different than the boys is too!) so I gave her a bath and took these pictures...

a life update
I've not been talkative for a while... I've been busier than I could imagine....
Let me catch you up!
In mid June I started getting to know someone online. HE found ME actually... I gave up looking to be honest. We emailed and whatnot for a month and finally met in person mid July, when he greeted me with flowers at a nice Italian restaurant (aww). We've seen each other regularly since then, and things are progressing better than I could have expected.
His name is Joe and he is such a sweet person. He's 36 and has a daughter who he has full custody of. He's such a gentleman (opening doors, bringing the flowers etc) and we have such great times when we are together! We both smile like idiots and laugh and *sigh* :) It's nice. Really nice. It's been a long time since these "girly" feelings have come out... They were stashed in the back of the closet and had huge dust bunnies on them!
So between my job (60 hrs one week, 20 the next), progressing nicely with a 3.79 GPA in my Masters of Education program and dating this wonderful man.... AND the fur kids too.... I'm a busy girl!
Chance is 6 months old today (pictures to come later on a different blog post) and is just an amazing dog. I'm head over heals in love with him :)
Sedona is now 15 months old, has her coat back and found some body somewhere along the road. She's been incredibly sweet and lovey to me lately, which is a nice change from her :) I can't wait to get her back in the ring.... I have good feelings :)
Dakota is well... Dakota. I am a little worried however, because with more and more regularity he and Kim's Sharpei-mix, Jazmine, seem to have a "tiff". I wouldn't call it an out and out "fight" I guess, because it's something usually relatively quick and nasty, but doesn't happen again, and they're ok afterwards... sniffing and licking and wagging and co-existing... but almost every time Kota has broken skin on her. Kim says it's common with Sharpei's... that they have pretty thin skin, but I just am not sure what Kota's malfunction is. We agree that it's not always Kota starting it (which I know), but it still bothers me that he's being aggressive like that with her. Do you guys think it's just a dominance thing? It stresses me out obviously, especially given the infamous "Ollie-incident".
So in general, life is good... I saw Nickleback and Daughtry on Monday with Joey, which was INCREDIBLE to say the least.
It's nice that life doesn't suck anymore ;-)

let sleeping dogs lie
It's nice that Kim is so close... she volunteers (can you believe it? she VOLUNTEERS) to take my dogs when I have to work and she doesn't.
She sent me this picture a bit ago... Sedona has *always* been one to snuggle up in a nook in a table and catch some "z's" :) And usually, wherever Sedona is, Chance isn't too far off.... this picture is evidence of that :)

An Ollie update
It's been over a year now, since Ollie went to go and live with Susan... it seems like it was just yesterday, but yet it feels like he's been with her forever....
I wrote her an email the other day, and this is her reply...
I'm going to see if I can't go see Ollie soon... it HAS been a long time (Since last September?) and I miss my bear :) I love that he's close so I *can* see him.
In October it'll be a year since Orion went to New Mexico too... Gosh last year sucked.
Life is definitely on the rise...

Hi Traci,
I wondered if you had disappeared from Phoenix! Many months ago when you called me, I called you back and told you it'd be fine to get together that coming weekend. But, I never heard from you again.
This coming weekend will not work out because my brother is coming in town to visit and help me find a house to buy. I'm looking in Gilbert/Chandler/some of Mesa for a house with a yard....which Ollie will LOVE.
He's doing so well and is terribly spoiled. On occasion he spends time with my mom's west highland terrier and they love each other to pieces. It's really interesting because he's aggressive with the majority of dogs he meets, but then there will be a dog or two that he is friendly with all the time. I do want to get him a buddy when I buy my house. Have been thinking a of female corgi pup.
The next weekend that you have open I will be in Palm Springs for business. You can certainly come by after I get off work one day on your off days, just let me know when. Did you change jobs?
It's hard to believe that it's been so long since you saw us. But anyhow, rest assured your little guy is happy, happy, happy :-)
Susan
I just could NOT have found a better home for Ollie... I feel so incredibly lucky. I miss him sometimes, and think that Kota can do the things that Ollie used to, but alas, it's just not so. There are many many things that I miss about my Olliebear, but the end... what pushed us over the edge... is enough for me to be grateful that he has another home. If not for his departure, I would not have Sedona and Chance, so life is good :)I'm going to see if I can't go see Ollie soon... it HAS been a long time (Since last September?) and I miss my bear :) I love that he's close so I *can* see him.
